Mentorship

When dealing with any illness, it is common to feel alone and isolated – even more so when it comes to a rare disease. Stand for Duchenne Canada can help connect Canadians with others who understand the challenges they are going through.

We encourage parents to volunteer as mentors to provide support to other parents across the country. This support may come in the form of being a friend to a fellow parent or sharing advice and guidance on how to cope with the condition.

If you are interested in acting as a mentor, please contact us at info@duchennecanada.org.

If you have a child who has recently been diagnosed with Duchenne and you would like to request a mentor, please contact us at info@duchennecanada.org.
